No one likes a dangler

Last summer I taught an English  composition class, and I absolutely adore my students. They are highly motivated and have a high work ethic. They are also huge fans of Game of Thrones — honestly, what more could I ask for??

They’ve just turned in their first paper, and after after each assignment I try to make lessons that address common areas that the class could use more practice with. This project they had the content/idea/organization all down, so I looked at lower-level concerns that could be worked on. A lot of my students had trouble with dangling modifiers, so I made this presentation and worksheet to help them out. While I don’t like to stress a ton of grammar, I found that my students appreciated this lesson. We went through a quick Game of Thrones PPT, I helped them through a basic worksheet, and they were able to apply this lesson to their own work.

If you want the editable versions, just leave a comment below and I’ll send you the files! Here is the Powerpoint I showed them, and here is the worksheet we went through together.
