Service Learning Update

My service learning project is going really well so far! I am still working with Becky, and she actually provided a lot of insightful advice about how we can work together in the future. I was lucky that I had a student who volunteers with Our Daily Bread, and I think that insider connection made this relationship stronger.

For the next steps, I want to reach out with other community members to see how this project is working with their organizations. For future assignments, I might want to do a large collaborative project one of the organization wants to work on and then see if I can divide it up between a class. I think this would make a really interesting ecosystem of work. Each part would connect to another’s groups work. I think this would be really interesting, but I am not sure if it would be beneficial or not. I am afraid it could go drastically wrong, and then the relationship with the community partner could be severed.
